CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The 2020 Drive-Through Clarksville Christmas Parade will be from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 on Riverside Drive.
The Clarksville Christmas Parade traditionally winds through downtown Clarksville while thousands of spectators line the streets to enjoy the show. This year, parade entries will be positioned along the road and citizens will drive through the event as a safe alternative during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public should anticipate lane closures and delays on the day of the parade. Drivers attending the parade should be attentive to traffic ahead and be prepared to stop.
From noon to 8 p.m. both southbound lanes on Riverside Drive and the center turning lane will be closed. Only one northbound and one southbound lane will be open for two-way traffic.
Left turns onto Riverside Drive from McClure Street and Jefferson Street will be prohibited. Only right turns will be permitted.
Traffic will be slowed to 10 mph along the parade route.
Christmas on the Cumberland will remain open during the parade but no parking will be available in McGregor Park. Visitors to the light display may park downtown and access the park via the College Street pedestrian overpass or at nearby parking lots with the permission from businesses.
Pedestrian traffic to and from McGregor Park's Christmas on the Cumberland display will only be available via the pedestrian overpass at College Street and Riverside Drive.
