[ARCHIVED] CHRISTMAS ON THE CUMBERLAND OPEN THROUGH JAN. 1

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.–  Christmas on the Cumberland, Clarksville’s popular lighted walk-through event, is open nightly from 5-10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday and 5-11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays now through Jan. 1, 2020. Admission is free.

Family-friendly activities will take place from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14 and 21.  This year’s free activities include free hot chocolate,  holiday crafts, and performances by local dance groups. They will be at McGregor Park on the following dates: Saturday December 14- 6:00-8:00 pm with a color-your-own-stocking craft & Saturday, December 21- 6:00-8:00 pm with a Gingerbread house photo ornament craft.

New this year, Clarksville Parks & Recreation has partnered with Fleet Feet Clarksville to provide a whole new way to experience the dazzling lights at the first-ever Christmas on the Cumberland Light Run, Saturday, Dec. 14 at McGregor Park.  All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new Christmas on the Cumberland light displays!

Registrants can choose to participate in either the one-mile event ($10) or the 5K ($20) beginning at 4 p.m. Online registration can be completed by visiting www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com. In-person registration is from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Parks & Recreation Office, 102 Public Square, Downtown Clarksville. Registration closes Wednesday, Dec. 11.
