'Street Food On The Square' coming to Downtown Clarksville

This Spring and Summer, on the last Monday of each month, Downtown Clarksville is the place to be for food trucks, and a wide array of global cuisines.

The administration of the Clarksville Parking Commission will host "Street Food On The Square," with the first edition of the event set for Monday, April 24.

The food trucks will be at Public Square next to City Hall each fourth Monday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The first participants on April 24 are: Burgasm, Pop & Dogs, and Delectable Sweets.

Coordinators of the monthly food truck event are Parking Commission Director Michael Palmore and Jesseca Monck, Parking Administrator.

"We want Mondays to also be a great time to come downtown, as well as the weekends and other days," Palmore said, "and we are going to have a great selection of food trucks for the public to enjoy."

Drawings will be held in the first weeks of each month during this Spring and Summer, to determine which food trucks will be featured on the last Mondays of each month.

The menu selections for each event will include a truck capable of serving up delicious meals, and separately, there will be a decadent dessert truck for the sweet tooth.
