What are CDBG funds?

The Community Development Block Grant Program by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development was developed to support community development activities across the county.

The program supports activities that address public needs including infrastructure, economic development, public facilities installation, community centers, housing rehabilitation, public services and more.

Funds must benefit low and moderate-income people, aid in the prevention or elimination of blight or meet an urgent need in the community.

Applications for CDBG funds will open on Dec 5 at 8 a.m. and are due on Jan 10 by 2:00 p.m. The application, as well as other resources, can be found on CNCS’s website.
