This week’s #WorkingWednesday features Larry Waynick, Network Facilities Specialist at CDE Lightband.

Larry wears a unique badge of honor at CDE Lightband as the longest-serving employee in the company’s history, recently celebrating his 50-year work anniversary. He began working at CDE Lightband in October 1971 as a meter reader. As he grew in the company, he served as an Electric Lineworker and then a Foreman Journeyman Lineworker. Over the years, he transitioned into his current role.

A part of his job entails being knowledgeable of and skilled in fiber optic communication troubleshooting, installation, implementation and maintenance, and also preparing a variety of operations records and work orders.

Larry is an outdoorsman. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him enjoying the rewards of farming and the quiet moments of fishing.

Thank you, Larry, for five decades of hard work and dedication at CDE Lightband and the  City of Clarksville. We want to express our sincerest congratulations to you on this phenomenal milestone. We are proud to have you as part of our City family!
