Clarksville Police introduce online CrimeMapping

The Clarksville Police Department has introduced CrimeMapping, a website that shows the public crime data from the community and enhances the department’s transparency.

CrimeMapping provides public access to filtered data from crime reports while maintaining privacy standards by removing the name and addresses of victims. Citizens can view crime activity within a specified radius from any location such as a residence, business, or school address or display the distance from any crime to any address of interest.

The CrimeMapping website gives citizens the ability to set their own crime alerts around specific addresses. For example, a citizen can set up an alert to receive automatic notifications when vehicle break-ins occur within their specified area or address. Data can be filtered by date and crime type and create charts based on the crime incidents that are shown on the map. The data record file is updated/extracted daily around 9 am.

CrimeMapping is available here.
