The Mission of the City of Clarksville Housing and Community Development is to bring needs and resources together in a coordinated housing and community development strategy to create, maintain and expand decent housing, suitable living environment and economic opportunities for low and moderate income persons in the City.
In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program has notified City of Clarksville that they will receive a formula allocation from the first round of CDBG-CV funding to be used specifically for the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the Coronavirus. This allocation was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed on March 27, 2020.
City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community Development is accepting applications from qualifying candidates to help in the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the Coronavirus throughout the City of Clarksville. All applications that meet a National Objective, Eligible Activity, AND prevent, prepare for, or respond to the Coronavirus will be reviewed.
