The Bark Park opened in the spring of 2006 and is located in the south end of Fairgrounds Park next to the Zinc Plant Road Bridge. Patrons can bring their dogs and allow them to run and exercise off-leash in this two-acre fenced in area.  If you would like more information or would like to make donations for new amenities to the Dog Park Project, please contact Parks and Recreation Office at 931-645-7476.

Hours: Dawn to Dusk

BARK PARK RULES

Any person entering the Dog Park acknowledges the risks and dangers inherent with
Dog parks and assumes the risk of injury to themselves and their dogs. Your dog must be wearing current rabies and identification tags at all times.    

Park users must immediately clean up and properly dispose of any waste left by their dog(s).   

The following are not permitted in the park: dogs in heat, puppies under the age of
four months, dogs with contagious diseases or aggressive dogs.

Park users must be inside the Dog Park, within view of their dogs and have access to 
a leash at all times. Dogs must be under voice control.

Abandoning animals is prohibited.

Dogs shall not dig or disturb park resources

Minimum age for users is 18 years of age. Children between 5 and 17 years of age   
may enter with a parent or guardian. Children less than 5 years of age are not permitted in the fenced area.

No more than two dogs per person in the off-leash area at one time.

Dog shows and training classes by reservation only.

No: Dog grooming
Smoking
Food or drinks
Glass containers
No animals other than dogs


The park is closed when Park personnel are conducting maintenance

All other general park rules and city ordinances must be obeyed.

Violation of rules may result in loss of privileges for use of the dog park
