The Clarksville Police Department’s Crime Prevention/Community Relations Unit acts as a liaison between the public and the Police Department. They are responsible for starting Neighborhood Watch programs, Crime Free Programs, Ident-a-Kid, and the Yellow DOT Program among other things. Each district is assigned a Crime Prevention/Community Policing Officer. The current Crime Prevention/Community Relations Officers are Officer Colleen Anderson (District One), Officer Roger Carroll (District Two), and Officer James Howard (District Three). The goal of the Crime Prevention/Community Relations Unit is to work with businesses, apartment complexes, organizations, and individuals to work together and create relationships to implement Crime Prevention techniques to lower the crime rate in the City Of Clarksville.
