Posted Date: 3/1/2018

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- The City’s trails and parks need constant maintenance, so the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department schedules volunteer maintenance days throughout the year. This spring, the community is encouraged to join in the effort to help maintain the cleanliness of two of the City’s most popular recreation spots.

This first cleanup will be from 8-10 a.m. on March 10 at the Clarksville Greenway. Volunteers should meet at the Pollard Road trailhead.

A second community cleanup event will be from 8-10 a.m. on April 21 at Billy Dunlop Park, 1930 E Boy Scout Road, on April 21.

Groups and individuals are welcome to participate. This is also a good opportunity for students in need of community service hours.

All equipment, including gloves and trash bags, will be provided. For details on the cleanups, please contact the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department at (931) 645-7476 or visit
