Special events throughout the year are coordinated to provide fitness and leisure activities to all segments of the population. From fitness events like the Queen City Road Race, Clarksville Sportsfest, and the 50+ Olympics to family and leisure events like the Liberty Live concert series, Clarksville Downtown Market, and Fright on Franklin- there is always something everyone can enjoy!

FEBRUARY 6 • CHOCOLATE AFFAIR
Time: 2:00PM & 6:00 PM
Location: Wilma Rudolph Event Center
Fee: $15 per person
Sample chocolates from local and national confectioners.
Tickets are limited and can be purchased online.

FEBRUARY 20 • QUICK SILVER SOCIAL
Time: 5:00PM-10:00PM
Location: Kleeman Community Center
Fee: Free
We’re ready to let the good times roll with another Silver Social,
sponsored by the Distinguished Steppers Unlimited. Adults, 50 and
older, can enjoy delicious food and dance the night away as we
celebrate the music and excitement of Mardi Gras!

MARCH 19 & APRIL 24 • TRAIL CLEANUPS
Time: 8:00AM -10:00AM
Location: March 19 at Clarksville Greenway (1011 Pollard Rd) &
April 24 at Robert Clark Park (1449 Tiny Town Rd)
Our trails need constant maintenance, but to make it more fun,
we schedule volunteer maintenance days throughout the year to
help keep them in shape. Groups are encouraged to participate!
Please bring work gloves.

MARCH 19 • WETTEST EGG HUNT
Time: 10:00AM-4:30PM
Location: Indoor Aquatic Center
Fee: $3 per person
Not your typical egg hunt! Eggs will be floating or sunk to the
bottom of the pool! Children ages 1-11, as well as special needs
children, and adults can collect eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny,
and enjoy refreshments! Pre-registration is required.

APRIL 9 • INDIAN ARTIFACT DISPLAY
Time: 10:00AM-4:00PM
Location: Fort Defiance Interpretive Center
Fee: Free
Learn more about those items lurking in your closet or collecting
dust on your display shelves! Bring them to the Fort to find out
more about your treasures. For educational purposes only, no sales.

APRIL 16 • ADAPTIVE WALK

Time: 1:00PM-3:00PM
Location: Liberty Park - Valor Pavilion (near Dog Park)
Fee: $3 per person
Explore the paved and wooden walkways with our City Forester
to learn about the park and wetlands. Create an outdoor craft too!

MAY 6 • ADAPTIVE SWIM DAY

Time: 10:00AM-NOON
Location: Indoor Aquatic Center
Fee: $1.50 per person
Learn more about our Adaptive Swim Program, become familiar
with the pool, and meet our instructors. Swimmers will have the
opportunity to get in the water, access the Wibits, and enjoy
crafts and refreshments.

MAY 7 • QUEEN CITY ROAD RACE
Time: 8:00AM
Location: Austin Peay State University
Fee: $20 on or before April 15. $25 after April 15
The Queen City Road Race is not just a running competition -
it is a promotion for fitness and health in the Clarksville community.
This year’s race includes a 5K, non-competitive One Mile Movement,
and a 10K! Online registration is available at www.cityofclarksville.com/qcrr.

FIRST SATURDAY IN MAY, JUNE, AUGUST • LIBERTY LIVE
Time: 6:30PM-8:00PM
Location: Liberty Park Amphitheater
Fee: Free
Join us this summer for Liberty Live, a free concert series
at Liberty Park! Artists will vary but expect great 
entertainment, food, and a fun time with friends!

MAY 17-21 • 50+ OLYMPICS

Location: Various
Fee: $25 per participant
Over 20 events scheduled to encourage persons
50 years of age and older to continue fitness
opportunities and to compete and interact with peers.
No experience is necessary.

SATURDAYS, MAY - OCTOBER • CLARKSVILLE DOWNTOWN MARKET
Time: 8:00AM-1:00PM
Location: Public Square
Are you a farmer, baker, or artisan craft maker? You may be perfect
for our market! We will begin accepting applications for the 2016 season in February 2016.

AUGUST 6 • WONDER KIDS TRIATHLON
Time: 9:00AM
Location: New Providence Pool & School
Fee: $25 per participant
A swim, bike and run event for boys and girls ages 3-12.
Designed to encourage physical activity and sportsmanship.
Registration begins early June.
